Although this game takes inspiration from a well-known VR title,
we wanted to push it in a fresh direction. One of the most exciting aspects was
infusing it with cultural elements from our diverse team—combining Korean
and Mexican influences to create a unique experience.
However, development came with its own set of challenges. One major hurdle was
ensuring precise music synchronization, as differences between
in-game timing and audio playback often led to de-synchronization. Additionally,
we had to focus heavily on asset optimization to manage the dynamic
slicing mechanics, making sure the meshes were correctly processed and reassembled
in real time. Despite these obstacles, the project remained a fun and rewarding
experience.
The GIF below shows the trailer of the final result.
